I was arrested and brought in for questioning.  During that time I found out I had been under surveillance for several months after having sold 3/4 of a gram of crack cocaine to an undercover police officer.  My fate was sealed.  I was being charged with several felonies from possession to intent to deliver of marijuana, cocaine and LSD.  By all intents and purposes, I was going away for a long time…

After spending a few days in jail my Grandparents posted my bail.  Thank God for grandparents!  I got out of jail and moved in with my dad.  Within a day or two we arrived home together and had missed some visitors.  Two ladies had been out door knocking from United Baptist Church and had left a tract under our door. I was left home alone with this tract and the Holy Spirit of God. It had a picture of the Bible on the front with a large title "You Have God's Word on it".  Inside I read through several points all backed up with scripture.  I read that All of us have sinned and are sinners, YOU HAVE GOD'S WORD ON IT with Biblical references.  I read that because of the sin we have committed all of us deserve to die and go to hell YOU HAVE GOD'S WORD ON IT with Biblical references.  I read that in spite of our sin, God loved each one of us enough to send His own Son to die in our place YOU HAVE GOD'S WORD ON IT with Biblical references.  And finally I read that if I would believe on and receive this Son of God as my personal Atonement and Saviour I could be forgiven my sin debt and be born again of God I had GOD'S WORD ON IT with Biblical references.
